Sasha went for her weekly acupuncture followed by laser treatment with Dr. Stuer today. She was very  happy that she didn’t have to lay on a Red Sox blanket !  So was I as it could have turned ugly real fast. Sasha is Yankees all the way; a true die-hard.

A few weeks ago I’d seen a note on Bethel Animal Hospital’s  waiting room board about a dog ramp for sale so I called to inquire about it. The woman said it was one of the more heavy-duty ones as she purchased it for her large German Shepherd who sadly, passed away a short time later. I don’t need a dog ramp but one never knows what the future might bring and for $25 it was too good of a deal to pass on. Sasha usually has morning appointments but due to Dr. Stuer’s heavy surgical caseload we had an afternoon appointment. Following it we went to Sunday River  which was only about 10 miles away. The woman lives in a beautiful home which is practically at the base of the mountain! I’m not a skier so have never been to Sunday River before. It’s still considered the Western Mountains but lies closer to New Hampshire. I actually live between two other ski resorts, Sugarloaf and Saddleback. Little FYI for anyone who follows the Olympics. Seth Westcott is from my area. He’s a two-time Olympic champion in snowboard cross, a relatively  new event in the Winter Olympics. He won a gold medal in 2006, the year snowboard cross was introduced and again in 2010. Seth grew up practicing at Sugarloaf and it’s also his home.

After we picked up the ramp we slowly made our way down from the mountain and stopped to stretch our legs, give Sasha a potty break and just take in the views. It was hard to get pictures as the sun was setting. Sasha was about 25′ away from me and I called her name. She looked directly at me and walked straight to me wagging her tail! What a beautiful moment that was.

Just a phenomenal day!

💜Next up ~ Sasha’s boots are ready!💜
